The second Sunday of the Games, and this one’s a marathon. Cross-country skiing relay events are a highlight — nations put four skiers on the course in a grueling team effort that always produces dramatic finishes. Biathlon relay racing is equally intense, with Norway, France, and Germany typically fighting for gold at Anterselva.

Luge team relay — one of the quirkiest and most entertaining events in the Olympics — sends men’s, women’s, and doubles sliders down the Cortina track in rapid succession. Speed skating distance events continue at Piné, and snowboard parallel giant slalom or cross events fill the Livigno schedule.
