Schedule — Saturday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day)
Happy Valentine’s Day — and what better gift than a full day of Olympic competition? Alpine skiing and biathlon share top billing, with medal events likely in both. Bobsled two-person finals could land on this day, with the Cortina track producing podium results.
Figure skating is the obvious Valentine’s Day headliner. Whether it’s the men’s free skate or ice dance rhythm dance, the Santa Giulia Arena will be electric. This is appointment television for the figure skating audience.
Freestyle skiing and snowboard events in Livigno keep the mountain action going, and short track speed skating heats in Milan provide rapid-fire excitement. Skeleton competition should also be delivering medals around this point.
Plan accordingly: brunch and Olympics is a perfectly valid Valentine’s Day date. First events roll around 3:00 a.m. ET / 12:00 a.m. PT, with action stretching into the afternoon Eastern.
