Sourcing Standards
All schedule, results, and medal data on OlympicGamesHub is sourced from the following authorities, listed in priority order:
- olympics.com — The official website of the Olympic Games, operated by the International Olympic Committee. This is our primary source for event schedules, official results, medal counts, and athlete information.
- International sport federations — ISU (figure skating, speed skating, short track), FIS (alpine skiing, cross-country, ski jumping, nordic combined, freestyle, snowboard), IBU (biathlon), IIHF (ice hockey), FIL (luge), IBSF (bobsled, skeleton), WCF (curling), and ISMF (ski mountaineering). These are our primary sources for rules, scoring systems, and competition formats.
- NBCUniversal — The exclusive U.S. broadcast rightsholder for the Olympic Games. We source channel assignments, streaming availability, and broadcast schedules from NBCUniversal press releases and the NBC Olympics website.
- Associated Press and Reuters — For verified competition results and medal count confirmation when official sources experience delays.
When sources conflict, we prioritize olympics.com for schedule and results data and NBCUniversal for U.S. broadcast information.
Correction Policy
Accuracy is non-negotiable. If we publish an error — a wrong start time, an incorrect score, a misattributed medal — we correct it immediately and add a visible correction note at the bottom of the affected page:
Correction (Date, Time ET): An earlier version of this page stated [error]. The correct information is [correction]. We regret the error.
Corrections are timestamped and remain visible permanently. We do not silently edit errors out of published pages.
Update Policy
- During the Games (Feb 6–22, 2026): Schedule and results pages are updated within 15 minutes of official source changes. Editorial content (storylines, recaps, picks) is updated at least twice daily — once in the morning (by 7 AM ET) and once in the evening (by 8 PM ET).
- Pre-Games: Pages are published and updated as official schedules are released and confirmed by NBCUniversal.
- Post-Games: Results and medal pages become archival. Schedule pages are labeled “Completed” and linked to their corresponding results pages. Live and today/tomorrow pages are redirected to their respective hub pages.
Every page displays a “Last updated” timestamp reflecting the most recent substantive content change. Cosmetic changes (typo fixes, formatting) do not trigger a timestamp update unless they also correct factual information.
Author Standards
All editorial content on this site carries a byline. Authors listed on OlympicGamesHub have verifiable experience in sports journalism. Author bios include real credentials — previous publications, years of experience, and areas of specialization. We do not use pseudonyms or fabricated author profiles.
Data-heavy pages (schedule tables, results listings) that do not contain editorial commentary are attributed to “OlympicGamesHub Staff.”
